Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Location: Earth
Event Time: 2024-07-23T19:48Z ( ACE: SWEPAM )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
ACE: SWEPAM
ACE: MAG
DSCOVR: PLASMAG
Activity ID: 2024-07-23T19:48:00-IPS-001 (version 1)
Quality of ICME Signature: 2 (clear signatures)
Note: Significant, well-defined jump in total magnetic field from 6nT->16nT alongside a jump in solar wind speed from about 260km/s->320km/s, with sharp increases in density and temperature observed as well. Bz is initially northward around +6nT in the early stages of this arrival. May be associated with the combined arrival of CME with ID 2024-07-19T21:36:00-CME-001 and 2024-07-19T22:24:00-CME-001, and/or the arrival of halo CME with ID 2024-07-21T16:48:00-CME-001, analysis is in progress. Also observed by DSCOVR at 2024-07-23T19:59Z
